Oxygen cleaning services apply to oxygen as well as other industrial gasses such as nitrogen and medical gas piping systems which follow similar cleaning procedures to that of oxygen.

Oxygen cleaning involves removing any combustible contaminates from all equipment surfaces intended to be used in oxygen service. Most common are instruments, tube fittings, pumps, valves, pipes and hoses.

Any process that handles >23.5% oxygen should be cleaned to remove contaminants such as hydrocarbon oils and greases, or anything that could ignite or spark, such as pieces of metal, dust and lint.

Clean-in-place systems are used in the life sciences industry to clean tanks and other vessels in the manufacturing process. Spray balls, rotary jet nozzles, and other devices are internally installed in vessels to ensure the CIP system can consistently clean 100% of the tank.
